AM Solid 60 minute spin ...1st 10 min @ 100 rpm followed by 5 min @ 80 rpm out of saddle up to 45 minutes...5 min @ 100 to 50 min.....alternating last 10 minutes with 1 min @ 120 rpm and 1 minute @ 100 rpm...good sweat.
PM 40 more minutes of spinning.

AM One hour spin on the deck felt strong and worked up a good sweat. I hope to get in a run later on today.
PM 7.6 miles w/ JJ in 62 minutes out and back to rail trail --- legs very sore --- going to consider massage therapy

Tuesday
Went for a 5 mile run in the afternoon heat and it took me 38:08. I experienced pain in the left hip which subsided as the run went along and my legs felt decent on the easy downhills into the flats of Tower Hill. Good sweat but I have a ways to go.
Just finished watching the tour on tv so I am inspired to go spin on the bike for a bit. Going to try to get in an hour.

Update
I have not been doing much of anything for the past week or so, but did manage a 4 mile run yesterday. My legs felt horrible and it was a very unpleasant run. I may have to contact a doctor and see what is wrong if things do not improve with the rest. This morning, I woke up early and had a nice breakfast with Monica before spinning for 63 minutes on the Bianchi. I feel okay on the bike but tend to tighten up around the hamstring area so I adjusted my saddle position and used a toy from Giovanni's mini skateboard kit so my front wheel is at the same angle as the rear wheel. I have been riding at a down angle and think this is part of the problem. Drank a blueberry smoothie after the ride which was very refreshing.
